Detailed Position Information
The Department of Community Medicine and Population Health (CMPH) at the University of Alabama College of Community Health Sciences (CCHS) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We seek a dynamic individual to lead innovative teaching in population health and epidemiology; we are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in sports and exercise medicine. The Department of CMPH is committed to applied evidence-based research and teaching. Additionally, we foster student-centered learning and train students to integrate clinical care with public health practices through our master’s program in Population Health Sciences.
Minimum Qualifications
PhD, DrPH, or MD with advanced training in sports and exercise science, epidemiology, and population health.
Familiarity with the US healthcare and public health systems is required
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to teach graduate-level courses and engage in graduate-level advising, mentoring, and teaching excellence in diverse and inclusive environment.
