Maintenance Manager
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, reliable team player that can add value to our Maintenance team. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing and directing daily activities and resources in the Maintenance department. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for growing and supporting their teams to reach the highest level of performance. This position works closely with the production and materials teams to ensure Maintenance goals are achieved and that Clayton provides a world class environment.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Perform daily maintenance walks to inspect the integrity of machinery, tools, and equipment in the facility.
- Develop / maintain maintenance schedule for routine inspection and review of all facility assets repair, clean, and tune up as needed.
- Oversee the complex maintenance systems are operational.
- Perform daily hazard walks.
- Collect bids from outside contractors on work to be completed for the facility that is outside the scope or warranty of work to be completed by the in-house team.
- Assign maintenance projects to the maintenance team to complete and follow up on progress.
- Participate in safety training meetings as requested for continuous education on new guidelines.
- Conduct daily huddles to plan out the day.
- Coach, correct and counsel team members. Utilize the progressive discipline documentation system appropriately.
- Ensure clean department before, during and after work using 5 min clean-ups. Don't leave until team has the area "Clayton Clean".
- Support ISO14001 initiatives.
- Support and encourage company culture and be a Culture Guide for all team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
5+ years of mechanical / building maintenance.Must be at least 18 years of age.Be able to read, write, and speak English.Bilingual (Spanish) read write and speak.High School diploma or equivalent (GED), required.Good communication skills : ability to work with a wide range of people including Team Members, vendors, and leadership team.Time management : ability to multi-task between the different responsibilities will be important due to daily interaction within multiple groups.Must have experience with Microsoft office suite applications.Excellent project management and follow-up skills.Ability to read and understand technical diagrams.Preferred Qualifications :
Analytical skills, ability to solve problems and / or offer alternative solutions.Must be available to work overtime and weekends.Experience in using ERP / Oracle systems and applications in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.Salary :
68,600 per year.Physical Demands :
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50+ lbs.Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person.
