Software Engineer
Noblis is looking for a candidate with strong, hands-on experience in VME chassis software development and deep familiarity with Linux / Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7.2) in an embedded systems context.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect & Develop Sophisticated Embedded Solutions - Design, engineer, and optimize high-performance embedded software for VME / VPX hardware platforms operating in demanding environments.
- Lead Technical Innovation - Spearhead DNDU 4.0.3 development while driving advancement of next-generation and legacy IOC (Input / Output Controller) capabilities.
- Master Low-Level System Integration - Create and enhance sophisticated scripts and automation frameworks on RHEL 7.2 specifically tailored for embedded applications.
- Drive Cross-Functional Excellence - Partner with electrical, systems, and test engineering teams to achieve seamless hardware / software integration that meets stringent performance requirements.
- Own Full Development Lifecycle - Take command of the complete software engineering process from requirements analysis through design, implementation, rigorous testing, and ongoing support.
- Technical Troubleshooting Leadership - Lead complex system integration and troubleshooting efforts in both laboratory and field deployment environments.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 3 years work experience or HS and 9 years relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in embedded software development targeting VME / VPX chassis SW development and LINUX RedHat enterprise.Strong proficiency with Linux (RHEL 7.2) in an embedded systems environment.Solid programming skills in C / C++, Python, and Java / JavaScript.Familiarity with HTML for interface development or embedded web applications.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.US Citizen with a Secret clearance or the ability to get a Secret clearance.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).Familiarity with system-level debugging and performance tuning in embedded environments.Exposure to low-level hardware interfaces and device drivers.Knowledge of configuration management tools and version control (e.g., Git).Posted Salary Range
