Mechanical Fire Suppression Installation Engineer

Our client is leading provider of data centre gas operated suppression systems and equipment, specialising in fire suppression, providing a broad range of services from fully managed solutions to consultancy, who are looking for a suppression systems engineer ideally located in the Midlands or Northern Home counties with a proven track record in installation of steel pipework for both new and existing installations. This can be from a Suppression or Sprinkler background. Responsibilities include carrying out accurate installation, utilising detailed in-house prepared drawings and system flow calculations for fixed extinguishing systems on a large portfolio of high-profile sites across the UK. The successful applicant will be responsible for installing systems to a high standard and this would entail working closely with the Project Manager and overseeing more Junior Engineers assisting with the installations.

Experience & Skills needed :

• Must have worked in a similar role previously
• Must stem from a mechanical background – pipework fabrication
• Experience & Certification on working with the main System manufacturers is essential although training will be provided to further your technical knowledge on existing systems and new types of systems.
• Full clean driving licence
• H&S Training & Qualifications desirable
• CSCS or equivalent is essential

The basic salary for this exciting opportunity is circa £38,000 (negotiable) plus bonuses / commission, van and package including private medical cover. Candidates are expected to earn near £50,000 overall.
