Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements; determine goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinate with other organizations; monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes. Knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions. Must be a U.S Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. May be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and / or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework". May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first. PCS / relocation funding is authorized. This is a Financial Management Level (1, 2, or 3) Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY) : Approximately 15 days per year.
Financial Management Specialist
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA is searching for a Financial Management Specialist to support SSC / FMA (NH-0501-03, GS-12 / 13 Equivalent). Positions are available in the 0501 (Financial Specialist) series. Applicants will be considered for multiple openings in SSC / FMA. This announcement is open to all qualified candidates, including military spouses. Candidates must demonstrate relevant credentials and experience in their resumes to be considered.
Duties :
- Plan, organize, and direct financial activities ensuring compliance with law, regulation, and customer needs.
- Provide analysis and decision support for budget formulation, justification, and execution.
- Interpret and assess the impact of Congressional legislation on budgets.
- Implement financial policies and ensure fiscal law compliance.
- Support program acquisition and provide recommendations for cost-effective resource allocation.
- Manage assigned accounts and brief senior leadership.
