GIS Technician II / 3D Modeling Specialist | $ 35 - $ 37 / hr. | Onsite Contract

Position Overview

Join a specialized engineering and design team contributing to critical infrastructure and transportation initiatives. In this role, you will focus on developing advanced 3D models and construction-ready documentation for complex civil projects. Responsibilities :

  • Produce 3D models and technical drawings for infrastructure projects using advanced civil design software.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with design standards and project objectives.
  • Manage files, revisions, and workflows using collaborative platforms for version control and coordination.
  • Conduct quality checks and assist with preparing plans, profiles, and other deliverables.
  • Integrate survey and engineering data to support accurate and efficient modeling efforts.

    • Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Associate degree or higher in a technical or design-related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of civil design experience with a focus on 3D modeling.
  • Proficient with platforms such as Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation, and related tools.
  • Strong knowledge of roadway design, grading, and drainage principles.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a collaborative team setting.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows in civil engineering.
  • Familiarity with additional design software or GIS tools.
  • Professional certifications in Autodesk or Bentley software

    • Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a background check, including fingerprinting.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time; occasional travel for project coordination may be required.

    The Pay Rate range for this position is $35 -$37 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
