Applications Development Tech Lead (Vice President)

Overview : We are actively seeking strong, hands-on Java Developers to join Citi's Exceptions Master Central (XMC) team within the ISG Data Solutions Group. This is a high-impact role contributing to the continuous development of a strategic data application, essential for Citi's enterprise-wide client reference data and data governance strategy. The team is moving quickly - expect rapid feedback and interview scheduling. Note : The first interview will be a technical screening via Codility. Resumes over 3 pages will not be considered. Key Requirements from Hiring Manager : Must be a strong hands-on developer at VP / C13 level Recent and extensive experience with Java is essential Candidates showing a primary background in Python will not be considered Must demonstrate ability in system design and low-level coding Clear, concise resumes limit to 3 pages max Team & Project Summary : The XMC platform provides essential services across Citi's product offerings, including : Data analytics and dashboarding Rules-based decision engines Database management Data governance tooling You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and work on a best-in-class system central to regulatory and business data requirements. Responsibilities : Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to design and enhance systems Lead development and implementation of application programs aligned with architectural standards Analyze complex business and system processes to deliver innovative solutions Participate in high-level design discussions and create Proof of Concepts for enterprise solutions Ensure high coding standards, testing, and debugging practices Drive initiatives for scalable, enterprise-grade application architecture Serve as a technical expert and mentor within the team Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Required Skills & Qualifications : Extensive hands-on experience in Java / J2EE development Familiarity with Angular or React JS, Spring Framework, and Oracle Strong experience in designing large, scalable enterprise systems Deep understanding of system analysis, software development, and architectural design Proven track record of successful project delivery Ability to manage shifting priorities and operate under tight deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Education : Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
