Join GDIT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges.  NSWC Corona’s IT and Cyber Security services team (ITCSS) is seeking Mid-Level Computer Systems Analyst from their location in Norco, CA.

The ITCSS team provides to NSWC Corona’s IT Division supporting t he Navy’s research, development, test, and evaluation process, providing independent assessment. Today, Corona Division is the Navy’s premier independent assessment agent responsible for gauging the warfighting capability of Navy ships and aircraft by assessing weapons and integrated combat systems’ performance, readiness, quality, and supportability throughout the system’s entire life cycle. It also provides critical warfighter support to the Navy and Marine Corps as the range systems engineering agent helping sustain training around the world and serves as the Navy Special Interface Gage technical agent and the measurement and calibration engineering agent to ensure measurement accuracy for today’s precise, high-tech combat and weapon systems.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Support the Area Distribution Node (ADN) and perform services to maintain the efficiency in its entirety

Work with individual servers, hardware, equipment, and maintain infrastructure including backups as required

Be responsible for the data centers including but not limited to : rack management, temperature control / cooling, environmental status, space integrity, cable management, technical advice, and upgrading security features to ensure all maintenance tasks have been completed as required

Monitor the ADN power consumption, physical security, temperature, network health, storage health, and the critical system health status

Perform and lead system backups, configurations, troubleshooting, and equipment installs (i.e., cable changes, jacks changes, assist customers with racking equipment, reimaging laptop, etc.).

Perform field and maintenance services in support of local area networks including but not limited to : unclassified and classified systems, RDT&E networks, Defense Research and Engineering Network / Secret Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN / SDREN), Corona Classified RDT&E Network (CCRN) and Navy Research Engineer Network (NREN)

Perform duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED :

High school degree, or a GED, and more than eight (8) years of relevant computer systems field services support and five (5) years of experience patching, software / equipment installation, client assistance and troubleshooting,  or

Bachelor's degree in a relevant computer systems field services support and five (5) years of relevant experience patching, software / equipment installation, client assistance and troubleshooting, or

Master's degree in a relevant field

Adhere to 8570.01M CWF Requirements

SECRET Clearance, with T5 background screen

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $28.19 - $38.15. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
