Project Managers are key members of the Public Sector Program Management team, responsible for delivering mission-aligned solutions with a strong focus on technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction. They will lead complex cloud transformation initiatives within the public sector, ensuring delivery of high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions. This position requires a hands-on leader with deep experience in agile methodologies, software development, and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee projects involving on-prem to cloud migration, guiding cross-functional teams while aligning technical execution with strategic objectives. As representatives of the Effectual brand, they are expected to stay current with applicable public sector standards, policies, and best practices to consistently deliver high-quality, well-architected solutions that address the diverse needs of government and public sector organizations.

The Project Manager will drive daily project execution, resolving obstacles that threaten timelines or deliverables. Be available during core customer hours, support in-person collaboration which is essential to ensure effective communication and teamwork. Lead agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement, while coordinating with technical leads, business analysts, and stakeholders to maintain alignment on scope, priorities, and dependencies. Oversee budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, adjusting plans as needed, and report project metrics, risks, and status to executive leadership. Also, mentor team members in agile practices and cloud transformation methodologies to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality outcomes. Monitor Agile metrics through tools such as Jira dashboards. Support continuous improvement of team processes and delivery practices. Your expertise will be critical in driving both application development and successful cloud migration initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud migration and software modernization initiatives
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams using SCRUM, Kanban, or hybrid agile methodologies to ensure iterative progress and delivery
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, resolving issues promptly to maintain project momentum
• Serve as primary point of contact for government clients, providing status updates, progress reports, and decision support
• Ensure compliance with federal security, IT, and PM standards throughout the project lifecycle
• Facilitate change management processes to integrate new cloud platforms, applications, and workflows into existing environments
• Conduct lessons-learned sessions post-project and implement improvements for future initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement across projects and teams to optimize performance and outcomes
• Identify and remove blockers in collaboration with the Scrum Masters to maintain team velocity
• Foster collaboration between team members, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure transparency and alignment
• Maintain Agile tracking systems to provide accurate, actionable metrics for project performance
• Provide expert guidance and support to project teams during the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, actively engaging and communicating to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects
