Research Data Analyst-(SV)
The University of Maryland, School of Social Work’s Institute for Innovation and Implementation is currently recruiting for a full-time Research Data Analyst to support research initiatives under the Adult Services and Child Welfare Accountability (ASCWA) Project. Research activities are in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Human Resources, Social Services Administration (DHS / SSA) and are geared to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of Maryland’s child welfare services. Under direct supervision, the Research Data Analyst will be asked to participate in research activities that contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts that promote children’s safety, permanency, and well-being. This motivated individual will support the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and the development of technical reports.
This position accomplishes responsibilities under the supervision and guidance of the Principal Investigator and other members of the ASCWA team and will contribute to development and evaluation of ASCWA goals and objectives, utilizing a cultivated understanding of Maryland’s child welfare system, strong analytic skills, and excellent attention to detail. This motivated individual applies entry level knowledge, concepts, principles, and skills, and demonstrates initiative and discretion to resolve routine and non-routine matters. The Principal Investigator defines assignments, expectations, and deadlines, and may review the individual's work for quality.

Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, psychology or field of study related to social work research is required.
Experience : Prior experience in child welfare is preferred.
Other : Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and / or experience is required only directly related education and / or experience may be substituted.

Hiring Range : $47, - $53,, commensurate with education and experience
