Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Vendor Management Office (VMO) Manager to oversee vendor governance, performance, and strategic alignment across IT services. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between internal IT teams and external suppliers, ensuring service excellence, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Governance & Strategy
- Develop and maintain vendor management policies, frameworks, and governance processes.
- Align vendor strategies with IT and business objectives to support digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Contract & Compliance Management
Lead negotiation, drafting, and management of vendor contracts.Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, SOC, ISO, etc.).Monitor and assess vendor compliance with security and risk standards.Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Implement and manage vendor scorecards, dashboards, and standardized reporting.Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and provide actionable performance insights.Analyze vendor trends and recommend improvements.Financial Oversight
Manage vendor budgets, consolidated billing, and cost optimization initiatives.Identify opportunities for savings through rate benchmarking, competitive bidding, and effective contract structuring.Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor escalations and issue resolution.Partner effectively with Procurement, IT, Finance, and Legal to support vendor lifecycle activities.Facilitate smooth onboarding / offboarding of vendors.Technology & Tools
Lead automation initiatives and process improvements across the vendor lifecycle.Support or lead Vendor Management System (VMS) implementation projects (preferably Coupa).Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.7+ years of experience in IT Vendor Management, IT Procurement, or Supplier Governance.Strong hands-on experience with VMS tools (Coupa preferred).Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.Deep understanding of compliance frameworks including GDPR, SOC, and ISO standards.Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships and high-impact vendor engagements.Core Competencies
