Position Overview :
Responsible to help eligible clients enroll in the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) Healthy Kids and assist eligible clients purchase health insurance through the Federal Marketplace; provide information sessions to potential applicants; provide information to assist the client in making an informed choice when selecting a CCO option of their choice based on a provider they choose on their health care plan and complete OHP follow-up.
What you will do :
Conduct client screening for Oregon Health Plan Healthy Kids and Federal Marketplace.
Update current geographic information in electronic health record if OHP application shows a change.
Assist clients in completion of all necessary forms to apply for Medicaid insurance.
Responsible for tracking all OHP applications daily and noting in electronic health records.
Track all applicant applications.
Assist clients with renewals.
Verify and track OHP eligibility and renewal dates.
Assist in projects to train NARA staff on OHP and the Federal Marketplace.
Support and work at multiple NARA locations regarding OHP support.
Travel to NARA NW sites including community outreach events.
Participate in outreach activities to identify and sign-up eligible clients.
Educate clients and other community members about the Affordable Care Act.
Track all outreach efforts OHP materials and provide OHP monthly reports.
Attend Oregon Health Authority meetings OHA Tribal assister quarterly meetings and other OHP / Federal Marketplace related meetings.
Attend training as required.
Assist clients in obtaining required citizenship documentation and proof of tribal heritage.
As time allows assist clients with applications for other state or federal programs such as social security voter registration and SNAP.
Perform other duties as needed in order to fulfill NARAs mission.
Ensures that working in the office or with the community promotes and increases positive relationships with NARA NW its programs and staff.
Qualifications
We would like to hear from people that have :
Valid drivers license good driving record and your own reliable transportation. Mileage will be reimbursed.
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of the Oregon Health Plan and Indian health programs and services preferred.
Two years of experience working in an office environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in experience with Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
All potential hires are required to have a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients the community and other staff members.
Work collaboratively with clients other NARA NW staff OHP team members and to always treat everyone with respect and dignity.
Ability to work independently as well as effectively as a team member.
