A Manufacturing Design Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Development : Create and refine designs for manufacturing processes and products, ensuring they meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
Collaboration : Work closely with engineering teams, product managers, and clients to align design specifications with production capabilities and user needs.
Prototyping and Testing : Develop prototypes and conduct tests to validate designs, making modifications based on feedback and performance evaluations.
Documentation : Maintain thorough records of design processes, revisions, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Continuous Improvement : Apply LEAN methodologies to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
Requirements
Experience : Relevant experience in manufacturing design or engineering, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with simulation and testing tools.
Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical abilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions during the design and manufacturing phases.
