What You’ll Do :
Review and enter all freight billing information received into the AS400 system.Prepare and submit accurate billing invoices to customers for payment on all open balances.Coordinate with internal Sales Reps and Operations in reviewing customer and / or carrier contracts to ensure that all invoices are accurate.Assist both internal and external customers with questions regarding freight invoice preparation and requirements. Provide reports on specific accounts to customers and internal management for clarity when needed.Contact external customers to obtain and document proof of delivery on outstanding orders.Process credit and rebills presented by the Collection Department or by the customer. Add or remove accessorial charges as needed.May prepare manual invoices outside the normal AS / 400 invoice creation process for wages, equipment, bonuses, etc as needed.Forward all checks received to Cash Applications department for application.Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner.Ability to work on an TTMS site or TTMS customer location site while performing the essential functions of this position.Corresponds with customers owing past due amounts by telephone, fax, mail or email.Plan and execute actions that includes documentation to provide a customer with information needed in order to promptly clear past due accounts.Obtains and mails 2nd request and balance due invoices as requested by customer.To research as necessary any past due amounts through sales, rates or billing and request any needed corrections.Assist with related special projects as required.Contacts customers and Sales Representatives pertaining to invoicing requirements.Communicates receivable management practices to both internal and external customersMay include other duties or reports as assigned by management.What We’re Looking For :
Education
High School diploma or GED equivalent.Experience
0 – 2 years applicable experience in billing required.TTMS or trucking experience beneficial.Skills / Certifications
Proficient use of computers and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)Strong verbal and written communication skillsWork Environment / Physical Requirements – Normal office settings.
