Lunar Rover Thermal Engineer

The Lunar Rover Thermal Engineer will support the space program located in Houston, TX.

We are seeking a skilled engineer to perform lunar surface thermal modeling and to develop best practices and guidelines for rover thermal development. This role includes integrated modeling, system reviews, hardware evaluation, and support leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Distill best practices and draft guidelines for rover thermal development.
• Develop and analyze integrated thermal models for lunar surface applications.
• Participate in and support thermal model and document reviews.
• Evaluate passive thermal hardware solutions.
• Assist with requirement definition and verification to support development milestones.
• Conduct trade studies for thermal system approaches.
• Lead and support thermal testing efforts.
• Perform model correlation and validation using test data.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and communication with cross-functional management and engineering teams.
• Serve as deputy PTCS sub-system manager for EVA and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP) projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
