Compensation : 100,000 + DOE

Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and build electrical and mechanical proof-of-concept systems for next-gen research instruments
  • Develop and test printed circuit boards (PCBs), manage surface mount assembly, and maintain lab equipment
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess feasibility for product integration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into robust, manufacturable designs
  • Write and maintain firmware for prototype systems (C / C++)
  • Lead technical experimentation and documentation to validate performance
  • Support internal training and promote technical knowledge-sharing across the company

    • Qualifications : Required :

  • BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in analog / digital systems design

    • Proficiency in :

  • Embedded systems (e.g., Microchip PIC, ESP, ARM, Raspberry Pi, Arduino)
  • Programming (C / C++, Python, others as needed)
  • PCB design and troubleshooting (e.g., Eagle, KiCad)
  • Circuit simulation, assembly, and diagnostic tools (DMM, oscilloscope, logic analyzer)
  • CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)

    • Preferred :

  • Experience with additive / subtractive prototyping (FDM, SLA, milling, laser cutting)
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 / ISO13485 standards
  • Background in life science, chemical, or biological research environments
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics or airflow modeling
