Position Summary : Responsible as technical resource for customers and factories trouble shooting problems in the field and providing factory start-ups and generally works independently. All aspects of providing technical support and problem solving for customers, factories and outside sales personnel.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Perform start-ups and service support for lighting control manufacturers, including but not limited to system activation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Identify and implement solutions to technical issues encountered on-site related to lighting control systems.
  • Program and test control systems in the field to ensure functionality and performance meet project specifications.
  • Conduct on-site investigations and analyze system performance to identify root causes of malfunctions or inefficiencies.
  • Make necessary corrections or direct installation teams to resolve issues in the field.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager.

Essential Skills :

Technical Knowledge & Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience working with electrical or low-voltage systems
  • Knowledge of low-voltage systems and basic logic programming
  • Basic understanding of electrical power systems
  • Familiarity with fundamental networking principles
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans and control system drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong analytical thinking and reasoning skills to evaluate alternative solutions
  • Ability to assess the implications of new information for effective problem-solving and decision-making
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong multitasking abilities and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Other Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Must maintain auto insurance with a minimum coverage of $100,000 / $300,000 for injury / accident
