Description : What is Camp Indy?
Camp Indy is an outdoor adventure day camp! It is split up into four different age groups, Junior Camp (5-6), 7-9 Camps, 10-12 Camps, and Scions (13-15). 7-9 and 10-12 age groups are broken out into individual “ speciality camps ” that campers register for. Specialty camps operate as their own independent camp for a portion of the day, and then combine with the rest of the age camps for group activities. Counselors will be assigned weekly to a specialty camp. They will be responsible for those campers, as well as scheduling and leading activities for that camp.

Camp Indy is a ministry of Horizon Christian Fellowship of Indianapolis, whose goal is JESUS - knowing God and making Him known. Our mission is that Christ be glorified, the lost are won, believers are equipped for faithful service, and the kingdom of God is expanded!

Camp Indy is an outdoor adventure day camp that provides an exciting, challenging, fun, and growing atmosphere for staff and campers to fall in love with the God of all creation and to see the Scriptures come alive and become real in their lives.
Camp Indy’s Goals
It is the responsibility of each Camp Indy employee to :
- Articulate the love of Christ to a group of children, both verbally and non-verbally
- Be a Christ-like example to staff, parents, and the community through work with children
- Help provide a fun, safe, and loving environment for children to grow and learn

Campers
Get to know and minister to your campers, as a group and individuallyRecognize and respond to opportunities for problem-solving in a groupProvide opportunities for the group so that each individual learns and achieves valuable lessons during campHelp each camper meet camp goals, keep the guidelines, and learn about Jesus Christ, as established by Camp Indy for camper developmentProvide supervision and leadership for the campers during all scheduled camp hoursFollow the Camp Indy plan of disciplineHave fun!Schedule
Plan and lead various specialty camps, providing teaching, supervision, and funBe available for the following before and after-hour events :Weekly staff meeting, morning devotions, camp overnights, early / late care, and any other requested duty assigned by leadership staff
Be on time for each scheduled camp activityReport any problems, conflicts, or desired changes to the AD and / or CDPaperwork
Fill out appropriate paperwork relating to camper information and incidentsKeep camper information sheets confidentialTurn in camper weekly attendance sheet to the AD’s box at the end of the day on FridayLifeguard : Qualifications
