Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Surgical Unit (Med-Surg)

Location : Gainesville, FL (candidates must live within commutable distance – no more than 60 minutes away)

Unit : Inpatient Surgical (within Med-Surg)

Shift : Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM, rotating weekends)

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 7 : 1

Beds : 45

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Inpatient Surgical Unit within the Med-Surg department. This unit specializes in caring for post-surgical patients recovering from abdominal and other surgical procedures after PACU. Nurses provide wound care, pain management, discharge education, and supportive care for patients who may require overnight or longer recovery stays.

This is a fast-paced environment that requires excellent clinical skills, adaptability, and compassion.

Qualifications

Experience : Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 4 years)

Licensure :

Current Florida RN license required

Compact RN license holders may be considered (must apply for FL RN license)

If less than 3 years of RN experience, candidates must take the NCLEX in Florida and obtain a FL license before consideration

Education : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN)

Compensation & Incentives

Base Pay (based on years of experience) :

2 years : $30.69 / hour

5 years : $33.71 / hour

17 years : $43.20 / hour (max)

Shift Differentials :

Nights : +$4.25 / hour

Weekends : +$3.00 / hour

Sign-On Bonus

$15,000 for Day shift

$25,000 for Night shift

Relocation Assistance : Available on a case-by-case basis
