What You'll Do

You will craft, test, certify, and build high assurance encryption products aligned with NSA TEMPEST requirements within Viasat Government. Use your TEMPEST design expertise for new HAIPE, EDE, Space, and Tactical high assurance encryptors, as well as execute production TEMPEST sampling program and address any test failures to root cause.

The day-to-day :

• Collaborate with analog and digital hardware design engineers and mechanical engineers to create TEMPEST compliant products
• Recommend circuits, participate in design reviews, conduct tests on new TEMPEST solutions
• Review Schematic / CAD designs
• Develop TEMPEST Test plans, procedures, and reports
• Participate in the initial Certification and Submittal phase of Viasat's new TEMPEST facility and oversee certification under the TEMPEST Manufacturing and Test Services Program
• Perform testing in accordance with NSTISSAM TEMPEST / 1-92, CNSSAM TEMPEST 01-02
• Collaborate with in-house and contract test technicians to conduct experimental (engineering) and formal (for score) TEMPEST tests
• Execute Viasat's production sampling TEMPEST program
• Collaborate with NSA to achieve successful TEMPEST test results and product certification
• Support the EMI / EMC qualification of Viasat products

Salary range $148,000.00 - $233,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $183,500.00- $275,500.00 / annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
