Summary The Drilling Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and directing assigned geotechnical drilling projects.
This includes managing project budgets, and preparation of deliverables to clients and internal staff. Responsibilities Provide clear and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders, including clients, management, engineering, drillers, on project status, progress, budgets, work scope changes, issues, and results.
Review project documents, contracts, drill instructions and budgets, and coordinate scheduling and implementation of projects.
Coordinate schedules, site access, and site work with facilities, with the Drilling Division Manager, and assist in tracking and keeping projects on schedule.
Perform site reconnaissance of project sites and layout exploration with GPS equipment.
Communicate with onsite personnel, evaluate utilities, access points, and terrain issues and communicate issues to the project team.
Coordinate underground utility clearing tasks and discuss concerns with the project team.
Prepare UDIG NY notifications and follow up on responses.
Obtain safety training for all required tasks and projects.
Manage field teams and review collected data for completeness and accuracy.
Process data or coordinate processing and delivery to CME project teams or Clients.
Prepare job instruction packages for drillers and communicate project scope, requirements and timelines.
Perform field logging and drill rig inspections as required and verify CME driller compliance with industry standards and project objectives.
Daily communication with drill crews on progress and issues.
Review data, produce site maps and GPS data, prepare soil boring logs, review rock cores, review asphalt cores, concrete cores, infiltration test data, GPS and prepare reports and deliverables for clients or the CME Engineering team.
Prepare and review invoices, budgets, and change orders and coordinate with management regarding changes to work scope.
Obtain training on GPS and survey equipment, infiltration testing, soil classification, core evaluation, laboratory testing types and results, as well as drilling and exploration methods and limitations.
