About the Role
The Company is in search of a visionary and strategic leader to serve as the Chair of its Children's Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall strategic direction, overseeing departmental performance, and ensuring the recruitment and retention of outstanding staff. This role requires a leader who can align and develop critical resources to achieve goals in clinical practice, research, and education. The Chair will also be tasked with fostering a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. Key responsibilities include shaping the department's vision, developing staff and organizational capabilities, establishing business plans, and promoting the effective delivery of leading-edge medical science and treatment. Candidates for the Chair position must hold an MD or DO degree, be board-certified in pediatrics and / or their pediatric subspecialty, and have a strong academic background, ideally with a professorship. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in enhancing pediatric services, team building, and making impactful decisions. Strong strategic planning, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have a history of progressive and significant leadership experience and a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including legislation and Medicaid. The Chair will be expected to be actively involved in external boards and have a voice in the relevant healthcare space.
