In this role, you will be an integral part of the surgical team, assisting our oral surgeons chairside, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, and supporting our commitment to providing world-class surgical care. Your Schedule Will Be :
- Monday : 8am 5pm (Lansing)
- Tuesday : 8am 5pm (Lansing)
- Wednesday : 8am 5pm (St. Johns)
- Thursday : 8am 5pm (Lansing)

2+ years of surgical assisting or dental assisting experience (oral surgery experience preferred)Current CPR / BLS certificationRadiography certification for the state of MichiganKnowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization protocols, and surgical setupExperience with patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and post-op instructionsStrong communication and patient care skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced surgical environmentPreferred :
Oral surgery or maxillofacial surgery experienceDentrix or similar dental / medical software experienceDAANCE certificationAs a Surgical Assistant, You Will :
Prepare surgical suites and ensure all necessary instruments and materials are ready for procedures.Assist oral surgeons chairside during surgical procedures, including dental implant placement, extractions, and reconstructive surgeries.Monitor patients under anesthesia and record vital signs per protocol.Provide pre- and post-operative care instructions to patients and caregivers.Maintain strict sterilization and infection control standards.Ensure accurate documentation in patient charts.Support front office staff with scheduling and patient flow as needed.Why Choose Michigan Maxillofacial Surgery & Implant Center?
