Position Accountant

Full-Time / Part-Time Full-Time

Location Medford, NY

Salary $65,000 - $70,000

Days / Hours

Description

The Accountant will apply accounting principles to prepare financial reports, compile financial information, analyze financial data, and ensure financial compliance. They are also responsible for the month-end close processes.

Days / Hours : Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm

Duties and Responsibilities :

Coordinate the monthly accounting close for all entities.

Prepare financial and budget-to-actual reports for investors, funders and internal purposes.

Assists with the annual financial statement audits.

Record financial transactions through multiple sources including :

accounts payable

accounts receivable

bank activity

credit cards

purchase orders

Maintain client accounts.

Special projects as needed.

Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.

Requirements :

A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in accounting. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related business field preferred. Individual must be highly detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels in the organization is a must. Experience with NetSuite a plus. Experience in not-for-profit or real estate development a plus.
