Wood is recruiting for a Distribution Engineer to join its Projects business, focusing on Transmission & Distribution projects. This opportunity is remote near any of the following Florida locations : West Palm Beach, Orlando or Tampa Bay.
This position is responsible for engineering distribution electrical projects through their entire lifecycle, including conceptual feasibility, detailed design, construction, and service. The Distribution Engineer will lead and support overhead and underground distribution engineering projects, define scopes of work, perform engineering calculations, and develop detailed design drawings.

Expected :
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited university5+ years of experience in overhead and underground electric distribution network designKnowledge of NESC / IEEE Standards and Codes and major utility engineering standardsProficiency in electrical design including selection and installation of conductors, insulators, switchgear, circuit breakers, fuses, and other distribution equipmentUnderstanding of smart infrastructure equipment, including automatic feeder switches, remote sensing switching, and capacitor banksStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to take initiative in resolving issues and adapting procedures for unique situationsStrong sense of responsibility and professionalism in high-profile projectsValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordDesirable :
