Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Mill Machinist / Programmer in Sylmar, CA .

This is a Full-Time / Direct Hire opportunity.

Schedule :  7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM When OT is required : 6 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM Saturday : Mandatory and Sunday : Optional

Compensation : $40.00 - $56.00 / Hr.

  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of CNC multi axis Mill programming using MasterCam software (Required)
  • 3+ years of Solid Modeling (Required)
  • Knowledge of Horizontal and Vertical Mills, Multi-axis machines
  • Ability to read blueprints and advance GD&T knowledge
  • Knowledge of speeds and feeds, and cutting techniques for stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials required
  • Experience with working with castings is a plus
  • Must have knowledge of CNC G-codes and M-codes, and Renishaw probing use
  • Knowledge of HAAS and Fanuc control

    • As a CNC Mill Machinist / Programmer you will :

  • Create CNC programs utilizing the latest MasterCam software.
  • Test, modify and enhance set up procedures.
  • Maintain and preserve NC code and CAM libraries.
  • Develop, prepare, optimizes, and maintain Set-up and operation documents.
  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
  • Design and select work holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and material size needed when creating program.
  • Use of Renishaw probing cycles in CNC program.
  • Supports prove out process with Machinist and inspection to meet conformance.
  • Continuous improvement to new and existing processes.
