California PTA Job Details

Location : Carmichael, CA 95608 (Sacramento area)

Healthcare Setting : Inpatient Hospital

Assignment Duration : 16 weeks (September 22, 2025 – January 9, 2026)

Schedule : 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Shift Options : Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday

Employment Type : Travel Contract

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,470 - $1,580

Physical Therapist Assistant Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license / certification in California

Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA, preferably in inpatient hospital or rehab settings

Ability to work independently under indirect supervision

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Current CPR certification

PTA Responsibilities

Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injury, surgery, or illness

Provide direct patient care, monitor progress, and document clinical outcomes

Collaborate with the rehab team to optimize patient mobility and independence

Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and safe movement techniques

Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for all patients
