Engineering Administrator

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Engineering Administrator to join our team in a full-time, on-site role. This position supports our engineering leadership team and plays a key role in ensuring efficient operations within the department.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Perform a variety of engineering administrative tasks, including document preparation, filing, scanning, copying, binding, and data entry.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, managing complex calendars for senior engineering staff and leadership.
  • Handle general office operations, including organizing team events and departmental activities.
  • Oversee multiple schedules for senior team members, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met.
  • Manage office facilities, space planning, and assist with onboarding new hires.
  • Maintain and update department organizational charts, calendars, distribution lists, and other reference materials.
  • Arrange and coordinate travel for senior engineering leadership, preparing detailed itineraries.
  • Process and submit accurate expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist in compiling and maintaining procedure manuals, including reviewing and editing technical drawings and diagrams.
  • Manage meeting and conference schedules, adjusting as priorities change.
  • Support additional engineering-related tasks and projects as assigned by the Senior Engineering Director.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited university OR a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Previous experience in an engineering or construction-focused organization.
  • Strong preference for candidates with renewable energy industry experience.
  • Preferred Skills / Abilities

  • Proven ability to manage and resolve complex logistical challenges.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management abilities, with a track record of prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience with project / portfolio & resource management platforms like Asana, WorkOtter, Bridgit, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project is preferred.
  • Professional, courteous, and diplomatic in interactions with others.
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience preferred, ideally in a professional office environment.
