Key Responsibilities

Provide mental health care and respond to mental health crises throughout the facility.

Assess and evaluate inmates’ mental health in various settings.

Identify mental health issues and collaborate with physicians to prescribe appropriate treatment.

Implement therapeutic regimens approved by psychiatrists for patient care.

Educate inmates, healthcare staff, and correctional personnel on mental health management and support.

Maintain thorough documentation of all mental health interactions and treatments.

Follow safety and security policies, participate in disaster drills, and adhere to security protocols related to keys, sharps, and controlled substances.

Supervise infection control practices and ensure adherence to Universal Precautions and other infection control standards.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Key Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited college / university Nurse Practitioner program with current state licensure and certification.

Current CPR certification required.

Available to participate in on-call scheduling as needed.

Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.

Background check, security clearance, and drug screening required for this role.
