Clinical Research Coordinator

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Coordinator to support a genomics study involving patients receiving inpatient cardiology treatments. This role plays a critical part in advancing research by recruiting participants and ensuring smooth study operations.

Key Responsibilities

Participant Recruitment : Identify and recruit 1–2 participants per week for the study.

Chart Review & Eligibility : Conduct thorough chart reviews in Epic to determine patient eligibility.

Collaboration with Care Teams : Communicate with medical teams via Epic messaging to understand discharge plans and obtain approval to approach patients.

Patient Engagement : Meet patients face-to-face, explain the study, gauge interest, and obtain informed consent.

Study Procedures : Collect vitals, perform blood draws, and complete enrollment visits (approximately 1 hour).

Randomization : Ensure participants are randomized within 48 hours of discharge to determine HEPA air cleaner utilization.

Workload Snapshot

Screen approximately 200 patients per month.

Manage 5–10 new screens daily using Epic-generated lists.

This is a Contract position based out of Detroit, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 / hr.
