Our client, a large privately held manufacturing and distribution company with more than 100 U.S. and foreign entities, has engaged us to bring them a Tax Manager. This position reports to the Tax Director who we have known for many years. The company is located in Los Angeles County. They support a hybrid work schedule and have a very positive and welcoming culture.

Why this is Special

The ideal candidate will have the unique opportunity to manage the High Net-Worth Individual tax returns, planning and research for the owners. This Tax Manager will also assist the Tax Director with complex U.S. federal, state, and international tax planning and research, preparation and review of domestic and foreign corporate, partnership, and trust, estate, & gift tax planning and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state & local income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals.
• Prepare and review foreign tax credits for high-net-worth individuals.
• Perform and review complex federal, state & local, and international individual, trust, partnership, and corporate income and estate & gift tax research and planning.
• Monitor proposed, pending, and actual changes in income, state & local, and international taxation with a view towards their impact on the affiliates and principals.
• Prepare and review tax estimates and extensions related to 100+ affiliate federal and state individual, partnership, and corporate income tax returns.
• Prepare and review of detailed schedules used to prepare the affiliates and principals’ tax returns.
• Prepare and review the affiliates and principals’ tax returns.
• Initiate and review detailed proforma federal, state & local, and international individual, trust, partnership, and corporate income, and estate & gift tax calculations.
• Review internal and audited financial statements and related items for domestic and foreign affiliates.
