Position Summary :
The Vice President of Advancement is responsible for leading and implementing the fundraising and development strategy for Cristo Rey Richmond High School. This position plays a critical role in advancing the schools mission by cultivating donor relationships securing financial support strategizing and overseeing all advancement activities and supervising the marketing communications / public relations programs of the school. The Vice President of Advancement reports to the President and works closely with the school leadership team and Board of Directors. This position is based full-time onsite at the school in Richmond VA and will require some afterhours events and networking responsibilities.
What Youll Do
Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the schools annual and long-term financial goals.Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors foundations and corporate partners.Lead donor prospecting research efforts.Oversee all aspects of donor stewardship including acknowledgments reporting and engagement activities.Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events including annual galas donor receptions and community outreach events.Research and assist with grant proposals to secure funding from private and public sources.Manage donor databases and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.Collaborate with the President Board of Directors and Advancement Committee to identify and solicit major gifts.Develop marketing and communication materials to support fundraising efforts.Coordinate alumni engagement and giving programs.Supervise Advancement staff and volunteers as needed.Prepare regular reports on fundraising progress and projections for school leadership and the Board.Work collaboratively with the Corporate Work Study team to secure Angel Funders for work study jobs.Cultural
