Clinical Dietitian

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Dietitian to join our dynamic Nutrition Services team. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, skilled, and evidence-based practitioner responsible for providing comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to a diverse patient population within our acute care setting. This role is integral to patient recovery, disease management, and optimizing health outcomes through expert nutritional interventions and education.

Conduct thorough nutritional assessments, including review of medical history, lab values, anthropometrics, and dietary intake, to identify patients at nutritional risk.

Provide clear, concise, and evidence-based nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed dietary choices for discharge and long-term health.

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized medical nutrition therapy (MNT) care plans for adult and / or pediatric patients with various medical conditions (e.g., critical illness, diabetes, renal disease, CVD, oncology, GI disorders, surgical recovery).

Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree with completion of an accredited dietetics program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics).

Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

$40.96 - $60.93 / hour
