Senior Accountant / AR Specialist

The role of a Senior Accountant / AR Specialist combines the core functions of a Senior Accountant with a specialized focus on Accounts Receivable (AR). This position is crucial for a company's financial health, as it ensures accurate record-keeping, timely payments, and strong cash flow management.

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant / AR Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts receivable functions, from invoicing and cash application to collections and reporting. This individual will also contribute to broader accounting tasks, including month-end close activities, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive professional with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Accounts Receivable (AR) Management :

• Manage the full cycle of accounts receivable, including generating, reviewing, and distributing invoices.
• Process and apply customer payments accurately and on a timely basis.
• Conduct proactive collection activities on past-due accounts, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, billing errors, and customer disputes.
• Prepare and analyze AR aging reports to monitor the status of delinquent accounts and assess credit risk.
• Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger.
• Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments.
