Manage the Production Supervisors in a specified Value Stream, ensuring that safety, quality, and production standards are met. Engage with dealers to optimize specifications, pricing and delivery on remounted units.

Responsibilities :

  • Schedule labor effectively to maximize productivity.
  • Plan parts needed for production requirements.
  • Accomplish material and labor production goals.
  • Strengthen relationships with Dealers / Distributors to ensure remount operations that are mutually beneficial.
  • Work with the REV Marketing group to develop a plan for promoting remount capabilities through publications, social media, direct contact, internet, trade shows and other methods.
  • Evaluate periodic special projects for potential production within the remount operational framework.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping within your Value Stream.
  • Ensures quality assurance process is being followed.
  • Supports the business planning process beginning with the development and execution of the Production plan and continuing through the closed MRPII to performance measurement.
  • Supervises the production plan to ensure attainment of the Sales plan.
  • Schedules material and human resources to meet the Production plan.
  • Ensures the proper number and talent composition of the production work force in the Value Stream.
  • Coach, mentor, and discipline employees as necessary.
  • Complete 90 day and annual reviews for Subordinates in the Value Stream.
  • Maintain and complete all Human Resources paperwork for the employees in your Value Stream (attendance, vacation request, etc…)

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment) :

  • 4-year college degree in Engineering / Manufacturing / Business Administration preferred.
  • Five (5) years’ experience with proficiency in the specialty vehicle or truck and bus chassis manufacturing field with production supervision experience.
  • Experience in managing technical personnel highly desirable.
  • Financial / P&L experience to include creating and managing budgets, forecasting revenue and expenses is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel to include presenting information to individuals and small groups.
  • Advanced problem solving, time management and project management skills
  • Ability to lead personnel toward the achievement of company goals
  • Lean / Six Sigma Certification preferred
  • Advanced PC skills including MS Office Suite, MAPICS and / or MRP
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly.
  • Ability to implement and direct environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
  • Completed Hazardous Materials Handling Operations and Hazardous Waste training.
  • Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools. Must be familiar with the safe operation of various tools – drill, screw gun, sander, jig saw, etc.
  • Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices.
  • Hazardous Experience including : Hazardous Waste Disposal and DOT placarding and labeling.
  • Ability to regularly lift and / or move up to 40#’s without assistance.
  • Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.
  • Ability to work with arms above head.
  • Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding.
  • Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day (minus specified breaks.)
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery.
