Job Purpose :
Assist individuals with brain injury, intellectual disabilities, and other neurological disabilities in achieving a challenging, stimulating, dignified life by serving as an advocate and liaison for and on behalf of individuals' rights and benefits.
Essential Functions :
21 year old male who loves video games, mythology, Norway, dungeon and dragons, memes, music, robotics. He is going to MCC to study electrical technology. He wants to learn blacksmithing and have a physical workout regimen, but he has not been able to get those going.
He needs help with time management, motivation, daily routines for self care, especially laundry and housecleaning and healthful eating habits, executive function skills, especially tracking his appointments on a calendar and remembering to go to them, he needs guidance with paperwork.
He is addicted to video games and YouTube, and has not been able to develop a way to balance those activities with the rest of life. If we did not restrict his access, he would be online constantly and have his phone and headphones on literally all day watching YouTube. A comm hab worker would need to be cognizant of that and skilled at helping Atticus put the video games aside and focus on his other tasks and life goals.
It is important to adhere to the need for daily schedule and planning.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee travels by automobile and will be exposed to changing weather conditions.
OSHA Category 1 :
This position requires tasks that involve exposure to blood or body fluids that requires specific training for the employees' safety.
