Our client is a fast-growing, dynamic commercial general contractor based in San Diego, CA, specializing in ground-up construction, tenant improvements, and major renovations for a diverse client base. Their team is committed to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Job Summary :

They are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our San Diego team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to grow within the commercial construction industry. As a Project Engineer, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects
  • Maintain and update project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and change orders
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers
  • Track project schedules and monitor progress
  • Help manage budgets and cost control measures
  • Support procurement of materials and equipment
  • Conduct site walks and assist in quality control inspections
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction (internships considered)
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, drawings, and terminology
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
