Job Description
As a Clean Utilities Design Engineer , you'll play a key role in designing process utility systems and supporting facility infrastructure for complex manufacturing environments. You'll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated solutions for clients in regulated industries. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills and a passion for solving engineering challenges in dynamic project settings.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop process utility systems including clean and plant utilities, HVAC, and piping systems.
- Perform engineering calculations from first principles when standard templates are unavailable.
- Create construction drawing packages and write specifications for projects of moderate complexity.
- Support construction activities including RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch lists, and progress reports.
- Participate in squad checks to ensure coordinated, high-quality deliverables.
- Mentor junior designers and assist in translating engineering designs into Revit models.

- Hazardous Material Summaries
- Water / Waste Balances
- Heat Transfer Calculations
- Simulation Analysis
- Process Descriptions
- Equipment and Hygienic Piping Specifications

Qualifications
ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Bioprocess EngineeringMinimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or design firm settingProficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity with industry codes and regulatory guidancePreferred Qualifications
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam registration or completionStrong proficiency in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and material / energy balance calculationsFamiliarity with design of high purity water systems (RO / DI and / or WFI)Experience conducting field surveys and resolving site issuesAbility to coordinate across disciplines and with external partnersFamiliarity with construction trade coordination and vendor engagementProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other 2D / 3D design platformsExperience generating PIDSLI-HYBRID #LI-JV1
