Job Summary :
The Production Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control equipment such as panelboards and switchboards according to customer specifications. This role involves reading and interpreting electrical drawings, maintaining product quality, performing inspections, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assemble panelboards and / or switchboards according to electrical drawings, schematics, and work instructions using hand and power tools.
- Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform electrical wiring assembly using tools such as wire strippers and pliers.
- Monitor job progress and report any issues or part shortages.
- Receive and organize materials; prepare finished products for shipment.
- Participate in Lean initiatives and suggest improvements for quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas according to 5S standards.
- Cross-train and assist across different functions as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills :
Minimum one year of experience in an assembly-related role using hand and / or power tools (experience in automotive repair, construction, or carpentry is acceptable).Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and work instructions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to work overtime before / after shifts and on weekends.Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
