What to Expect (Job Responsibilities) :

Collaborate within a team on architectural projects, contributing to design and project delivery

Conduct research, site visits, and produce sketches and renderings for buildings and structures

Prepare and supervise the creation of design drawings, working drawings, and specifications

Review plans for compliance with zoning, building regulations, and other requirements

Monitor building permit and LEED compliance processes, conducting on-site observations during construction

What is Required (Qualifications) :

Degree in architecture is required

Licensed architect preferred; experience may substitute for licensing

Minimum of five years of professional experience in a design firm; seven years preferred

Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office

Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) :

Familiarity with State of Hawaii codes and industry standards

Experience with commercial, education, hospitality, and / or multi-family residential projects

Advanced organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in architectural practices
