Miel seeks an experienced hospitality professional for our open Event Sales & Planning Manager position. Job Details :
- Lead event sales for private dining, full restaurant buyouts, offsite events, and cooking classes.
- Develop personalized event proposals and menu presentations that showcase seasonal ingredients and align with client needs and event vision.
- Actively cultivate and acutely track new business while maintaining strong relationships with returning guests.
- Manage the complete event lifecycle from inquiry, commitment, billing, and proposal. Clear communication with management and our chefs is a must when confirming menus and event details.
- Conduct site visits, property tours, for prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the Chef and wine program to stay informed on market pricing and what is available to guests for their menus.
- Prepare accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure seamless communication with the team.
- Participate in weekly meetings to provide updates on sales goals, marketing efforts, and the current event calendar.
- Maintain mindfulness around guest-facing language and tone, ensuring all written and verbal communication reflects warmth, clarity, efficiency.
- Represent Miel’s commitment to seasonality, sustainability, and all that embodies the culture of what has made it an enduring food + beverage destination for Nashville.
Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in event sales, catering, weddings, or restaurant management within a refined hospitality setting.Demonstrated success in revenue generation, client relationship management, and event execution.Exceptional organizational, communication, and administrative skills.Proficiency with Google Workspace, Canva, and standard office programs like Excel.A strong understanding of menu design, bar programs, and wine pairing.A proactive, polished, and professional approach to service and collaboration.
