Structural Engineer Opportunity

Do you have a passion for structural design and a drive to see projects through to completion? We're looking for a talented Structural Engineer to join an expanding team in Cleveland, OH with an Engineering Firm. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the success of our projects by providing technical expertise and managing the structural engineering aspects.

What You'll Do :

  • Lead the structural engineering design for assigned projects, including steel and concrete structures for retail, commercial, or industrial buildings.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and other engineers to plan, organize, and control project activities within budget and schedule.
  • Review project documents like fee contracts and scopes of work.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings to define project goals and requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior engineers or interns assigned to your projects.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential budget or schedule issues proactively.
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Manager to manage change orders and client expectations.
  • Assist with reviewing shop drawings and submittals during construction.
  • Stay up-to-date on building codes, standards, and industry trends.

What You Bring To The Table :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years of experience in structural engineering design for buildings.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, RISA) and building design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
