We are seeking a General Manager to lead the daily operations of our gymnastics and dance school - ensuring a safe, fun, and thriving environment for students, families, and staff. This role is the heartbeat of our facility, blending operational excellence, team leadership, customer experience, and business performance to support program growth and community impact.
What You’ll Lead
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our multi-program youth athletics facility, including :
- Gymnastics (Preschool, Recreational, Competitive)
- Dance (Introductory–Advanced)
- Camps (Summer & Seasonal Programs)
You’ll guide operations, develop people, optimize performance, and serve as a trusted community leader—all while championing a culture rooted in safety, inclusion, teamwork, and fun.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop instructors, coaches, program leaders, and service teams.Foster a positive, accountable culture grounded in teamwork, inclusion, and performance.Conduct performance reviews, training sessions, and team meetings to support growth and engagement.Partner with HR and operations leadership on performance management and development plans.Operations & Safety
Manage daily operations, scheduling, staffing, and program continuity across departments.Maintain compliance with USAG, SafeSport, Red Cross, and internal safety standards.Partner with facilities teams to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment.Step in to teach or coach as needed to ensure classes run smoothly and students stay supported.Lead and execute special events that enhance community engagement (e.g., Mini-Olympics, Parents’ Night Out).Program Growth & Development
Lead curriculum evolution and program performance across gymnastics, dance, and camps.Analyze enrollment trends, class utilization, attendance, and student progress to drive program improvements.Support new program creation based on feedback, trends, and community needs.Business & Financial Performance
Partner with finance and senior leadership to manage budgets and achieve financial targets.Monitor and improve key business metrics : enrollment, payroll, expenses, revenue, and margin.Forecast staffing and class capacity to meet demand while optimizing labor efficiency.Collaborate with marketing to drive brand visibility, enrollment growth, and community partnerships.Customer & Community Engagement
Ensure every family feels supported, informed, and valued.Resolve customer concerns with care and professionalism.Build meaningful relationships to increase loyalty, referrals, and community trust.Represent the organization at local events as a positive ambassador for youth development.Experience & Skills
2+ years of leadership experience in youth sports, hospitality, education, or customer-focused environmentsProven success managing teams and multi-program operationsStrong financial acumen and operational planning skillsPassion for developing people and delivering exceptional customer experiencesAbility to adapt, problem-solve, and lead with energy and professionalismQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Education, or related field preferredCPR / First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)USAG Professional Membership and SafeSport certified (or willing to obtain)Experience in gymnastics, dance, or cheer is a plusAbility to lift 30 lbs and be physically present on the gym floor dailyAvailability for evenings, weekends, and special eventsWhat We Offer
