Key Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate processing of payable invoices, working in conjunction with the operating location contacts and vendors; responding to vendor inquires; and communicating with the operating locations and accounting team to complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.

• Receive, sort, audit, and accurately process accounts payable invoices, ensuring timely and compliant entry into financial systems.
• Support daily operations of the accounts payable function, maintaining efficiency and accuracy across all transactions.
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior entry in software and payment.
• Accurately code invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and check requests in alignment with company accounting procedures.
• Research and resolve problems associated with processing invoices and purchase orders.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoice and purchase order processing, proactively communicating with internal departments and vendors as needed.
• Contribute to monthly status reporting and assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records.
