We are currently looking for an IT Security Analyst that will be responsible for safeguarding an organization's computer systems and networks. This role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Monitoring and Incident Response : Continuously monitor security systems and networks for potential threats and vulnerabilities. Respond promptly to security breaches and conduct thorough investigations.
- Risk Assessment : Perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate security risks. Recommend and implement appropriate security measures.
- Policy Development : Assist in developing and enforcing security policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Security Training and Awareness : Conduct security training sessions for employees to promote awareness and adherence to security protocols.
- System Maintenance : Regularly update and maintain security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance, access control and antivirus software.
- Collaboration : Work closely with IT / OT staff, management, and external vendors to ensure comprehensive security coverage and address security issues promptly.
- Documentation : Maintain detailed records of security incidents, risk assessments, and implemented measures. Produce regular reports for management review. Required
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field.Experience : Proven experience as an IT Security Analyst or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of security protocols and best practices.Certifications : Relevant certifications such as GSEC and Sec+ are highly desirable.Technical Skills : Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software. Strong knowledge of network protocols and operating systems.Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to assess security risks and implement effective solutions.Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.Team Player : Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across departments.Preferred Qualifications
