Check Point Engineer

We are seeking a Check Point Engineer for a 6-month remote contract to support a large enterprise undergoing rapid growth and transformation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in firewall administration and has a strong background in policy management and cleanup.You’ll play a key role in optimizing firewall rule sets, streamlining security policies, and helping the team shift from reactive support to proactive project work.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and manage Check Point firewalls in a dynamic enterprise environment.Review incoming requests (e.g., new servers, platforms) and determine necessary firewall rule changes.Open and manage change records, coordinate team reviews, and implement / test changes.Perform policy cleanup to eliminate outdated, redundant, or overly permissive rules.Help reduce the backlog of firewall requests to free up the team for strategic initiatives.Why Policy Management & Cleanup Are CriticalThis organization is expanding through mergers and onboarding new systems and employees.
