Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic, collaborative team. We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in litigation support who can support three attorneys. In this vital role, you will work closely with our attorneys and paralegals to manage case files, conduct document review, perform legal research, and support all phases of litigation. Proficiency in legal software—particularly Aderant—is strongly preferred.
The Litigation Legal & Administrative Assistant will also perform a wide range of administrative and legal support duties, including drafting, typing, and revising correspondence, memoranda, documents, time sheets, and project work; proofreading and ensuring the quality of all outgoing materials; handling telephone and mail distribution; coordinating travel arrangements; and maintaining organized, up-to-date files.

Job Details
Our law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal support, with a focus on litigation. This position will play a critical role in assisting our attorneys and paralegals in managing complex civil and appeals litigation cases. The candidate will have a strong understanding of legal case management, document review, and legal research. Proficiency in legal software, particularly Aderant, is preferred.
Responsibilities :
1. Prepare and update case status reports for clients and attorneys to ensure all parties are informed of case progress.
2. Prepare and organize folders for paralegals and attorneys, ensuring all necessary documentation is available for case preparation and court proceedings.
3. Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case development and strategy.
4. Manage legal case files, including tracking deadlines, organizing evidence, and maintaining case calendars.
5. Provide litigation support, including preparing legal correspondence and documents for court filings.
6. Review and analyze legal documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
7. Manage complex civil litigation and appeals litigation cases, including coordinating with various parties and navigating legal procedures.
8. Act as a heavy scheduler, managing the calendars of multiple attorneys and ensuring deadlines are met.
9. Assist with the construction practice area, including managing case files, conducting research, and preparing legal documents.
10. Manage billing processes, including tracking billable hours, preparing invoices, and coordinating with clients for payment.
11. Oversee e-filing processes, ensuring documents are filed correctly and within required deadlines.
12. Familiarity with Table of Authorities (TOA) and Table of Contents (TOC) in preparing legal documents.
13. Utilize Aderant software for case management and other legal tasks.
Qualifications :
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, with a focus on litigation.
2. Strong knowledge of legal case management, document review, and legal research.
3. Proficiency in using legal software, with preference given to candidates with experience in Aderant.
4. Demonstrated experience in litigation support, including complex civil litigation and appeals litigation.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage heavy scheduling and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Experience in the construction practice area is preferred.
7. Strong understanding of legal billing processes.
8. Familiarity with e-filing procedures.
9. Knowledge of TOA and TOC in the preparation of legal documents.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise legal correspondence.
11. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review and analyze complex legal documents.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
