Direct Support Professional

Job Summary

We are seeking multiple Direct Support Professionals to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene needs, meal preparation, light housekeeping and errands, dispensing medication, and other tasks that improve the resident's living environment and standards. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, pays attention to details and is reliable. This is a non-exempt level position.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to residents
• Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
• Prepare daily meals and snacks in accordance with the menu
• Light housekeeping activities
• Dispense medication
• Provide companionship
• Assist with errands and shopping
• Lead resident's through their goals
• Work towards independence skills
• Document daily progress towards goals
• Supervise resident's during community outings
• Transport resident's to locations identified in daily schedule
