Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator

Apple Valley Health Care Center, a Cassia community, is hiring a Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator to join our team! As the Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator at Apple Valley Health Care Center you will play a key part in supporting our nursing team by managing daily and long-term schedules, coordinating shift coverage, and ensuring adequate staffing for quality resident care. You will also perform HR tasks such as compiling employee files, training and scheduling employees.

Position Type : Full-Time. Hours : 6 : 00 am to 2 : 30 pm or 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm. This does include working every other weekend and every other holiday. Pay : $22.50 -$26.00 / hour depending on experience.

Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator responsibilities :

  • Coordinate schedule and staffing levels for the nursing department.
  • Interview candidates for open CNA positions.
  • Conduct reference checks and background checks for potential employees.
  • Track continuing educational programs for staff.
  • Complete daily budget report for all nursing hours.
  • Track attendance and complete disciplinary action forms.
  • Stock memory care units and care suites with supplies each week.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator skills and requirements :

  • 1-2 years prior staffing / scheduling experience highly preferred.
  • Must have flexibility in scheduling including on-call hours.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
