Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst plays a vital role in maintaining Bob's Discount Furniture's financial accuracy and operational integrity. This role focuses on analyzing, reconciling, and resolving complex payment discrepancies to safeguard company assets and enhance the customer experience. You will leverage your expertise in SAP , Excel , and financial analysis to identify and correct funding variances, mitigate risks, and ensure accurate reporting.

This hybrid role requires two days per week in the Manchester home office and offers flexibility to work remotely on other days.

Core Competencies & Expertise

Financial Analysis & Reconciliation : Perform in-depth analysis of funding variances and discrepancies; identify root causes and implement corrective actions to ensure accurate payment applications.

Systems Proficiency : Leverage advanced Excel and SAP skills to compile, reconcile, and interpret complex data across multiple systems for daily and month-end reporting.

Risk Assessment & Fraud Detection : Apply analytical and risk assessment techniques to review, approve, and escalate transactions as appropriate to mitigate financial loss.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with store leadership, Sales, IT, and external payment processors to resolve payment discrepancies and provide chargeback documentation and evidence.

Process Improvement : Recommend and implement process enhancements that strengthen internal controls, improve reconciliation efficiency, and minimize future discrepancies.

Compliance & Accuracy : Ensure alignment with company policies, GAAP, and applicable regulations in all reconciliation and reporting activities.

Preferred Competencies & Skills

Proficiency in SAP and Excel

Minimum Qualifications

Education :

Preferred : Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

Experience :

1–2 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance, or Reconciliation

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position , requiring two days per week in the Manchester, CT home office. Collaboration is key—regular virtual meetings and communication occur across digital platforms (email, phone, and web conferencing). Occasional additional travel to the home office may be required for meetings or events.
